The Brouwhuissche Heide, or Vlierdense Bossen as it’s also called, is a nearly 400-hectare grove pine forest and home to a 12.5 km long MTB track.
The track is marked and has two starting points; one near the railway crossing on Biesdeel road and another just outside Vlierden. Striking features of the track are its technical, yet flowy singletrails. After dry weather periods they can be quite loose. There’s not much climbing to deal with on the track. However, its variety of surfaces and the mix of wooded parts and the open heath can be very rewarding.
It’s easy to combine the track with the ones in Deurne, namely Walsberg and Zandbos, as well as with the ones in Liessel and Asten. All connection roads are marked.
